The transitional arrangements for Building Inspectors have ended. Registered Building Inspectors (RBIs) at Class 1 who have not yet passed their competence assessment and upgraded to Class 2, 3, or 4 can only work under supervision. There are a number of Class 1 RBIs are still awaiting their assessment results. The Building Safety Regulator has issued these individuals a letter permitting them to continue working within their current RBI class until they receive their results.
